The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) calls on parents, educators, policymakers, and communities to join forces to ensure our children become productive, engaged citizens. Our children deserve an education that emphasizes academic rigor as well as the essential 21st-century skills of critical thinking and creativity.

Message from the President

Across the country and throughout the world, the issues facing the opportunity for all children to have access to a quality education are immense. Even here in Oregon, we are challenged with knowing what it means and takes to ensure all students receive a high quality education.

Oregon ASCD, an affiliate of the International Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development is committed to "Empowering those committed to enhancing education."

Our intent is to provide this website to members and non-members as a place to connect with efforts aimed at ensuring that when young people graduate from high school, they are not only knowledgeable but also emotionally and physically healthy, civically engaged, responsible, and caring.

If you aren't already a member, please consider joining by accessing the link provided under Sign Up/Renew. Oregon ASCD is providing leadership and support to those involved throughout Oregon. The membership year is twelve months beginning with the date the membership fee is received. It is possible to coordinate ASCD and Oregon ASCD memberships by completing a joint dues form and joining both organizations simultaneously but that has to be completed through the ASCD website (click here).

As a member of Oregon ASCD you will receive:

  • Reduced registration fees to regional and state conferences/institutes
  • Opportunities to network with the best and brightest educators in the state
  • Opportunities to volunteer in activities that really make a difference
  • Publications such as our e-newsletter and white paper on testing and assessment in Oregon

You can join the team by completing the membership form found at the Sign Up/Renew page under About Us. We look forward to welcoming you to our ranks and working with you to improve education in Oregon!

Sincerely,
Oregon ASCD President
